Kingston Hospital will be safe under a Conservative Government. Helen has brought David Cameron to Kingston Hospital to give his commitment in person to hospital staff and patients. If the Conservatives win the election, David Cameron will stop Labour’s review of healthcare in SW London, stop Labour’s NHS cuts and put an end to all our worries about the future of the hospital. Helen has been determined to stick to the facts about the threat to the hospital. This is the situation: Labour is carrying out a review of healthcare in SW London which could affect Kingston Hospital's A&E, Maternity, Paediatrics and Elective Surgery services. Locally, two hospitals, Kingston and St Helier are in the frame for downgrades to A&E and Maternity. Kingston Hospital’s Chief Executive described closing these services as ‘irrational’ but there is a risk that this could be the outcome of Labour’s review. Helen’s first child was born in Kingston Hospital and her next is due to arrive there in August. Helen said; “Of course, the maternity service is close to my heart, but so are all our local NHS services. I’ve made absolutely sure that our local hospital will be safe if we have a Conservative Government." "It’s one of the biggest worries for residents, and that’s why I brought David Cameron here in person to reassure people.”
